Reading elsewhere the solution at the moment is contact Fitbit support and they will remove it from your account. EDIT: I tried the syncing for two days and got nothing, and just decided to give a tracker reboot a try today and that seems to remove it.

WEBOct 25, 2017 — UPDATE: 5/13/20 Finally got the Charge 2 to sync. Had to use the computer dongle and charging cable. Put the unit on the USB cable and pressed the button (~4 secs) to reset the unit which makes the device visible. Ran the FitBit Connect software for a NEW initial setup of the device! Software saw the device and synced.

Android 8 Support? - Fitbit Community
WEBI have the Fitbit Blaze and a Galaxy S8. Since the upgrade to Androis 8.0, my watch has had a horrible time. I was finally able to get it to sync by completely removing the device, uninstalling the app, resetting bluetooth, then install the app and pair the watch. All was good until the Fitbit app update last week.
