People who own the digital version of PS5. Is it worth it?
WEBFeb 24, 2022 · I live in Sweden so I will have “just about” in amounts. But scalpers set aside the Disc version should cost 499dollars. And disc version 599dollars. But then the online price vs physical gets ridiculous. In Sweden horizon Forbidden west DISC PS5 edition can be bought for 599sek. Roughly 55-60 dollars.

WEBIn my opinion this was a very bad decision on Sony's part to make these two different consoles. Even though it is all but obvious that the disc version can download digital versions of games, just like the PS4, i am seeing that it still confuses people. On one hand, the slim model has significantly more storage (1 TB vs 825 GB) but the design's a bit weird and the vertical stand costs like $30 extra. The regular version looks better imo but doesn't have as much storage.

WEBAbsolutely do not buy the digital only version. It means you are largely beholden to Sonys digital game pricing which is almost always RRP and the sales are often not fantastic. For example, they are selling the PS5 version of Callisto Protocol for £70 on PSN, I got it for £38 from Shopto.
