This historical site is small and mostly just broken stone walls. The water well is interesting. The museum was very nice. We enjoyed watching the free roaming longhorns. The restroom was clean.Full review by C6851JNdonnab

Hi, you do not need a license to fish at any State Parks in Texas. Unfortunately, I can't find any documentation on fishing on the THC site. I did check the Texas Parks and Wildlife website link for Free Fishing in State Parks list. Fort Griffin is not listed, and other Forts are in other parts of Texas.
