If you have an opportunity to visit, make sure you go. It was so cool to see the buildings and missile. Great part of our history.Full review by ldeit
Are we able to tour this place by ourselves? Also, is the ranger-led tour still from 14:00-15:30? Is it possible to leave early?

You really can't tour the base without a ranger. He has to unlock the gate before you can proceed inside to the buildings. You need to sign up for the tour at the Visitor Center where they give you instructions as to the time and directions for getting to the place to meet the ranger. I believe they prefer the group to stay together and do not encourage leaving early but you can ask about that at the visitor center also.
Hello! We are planning a trip to the park in less than two weeks; and want to tour this missle site! I do NOT find it on the maps. Can you tell us how to get to it and it seems that one can view it from like 10-2 or take a tour once a day...can that be explained, also? We really want the ranger part of it for the best information!!! THanks!!

Simply enter Everglades National Park and ask the gate attendant for directions. (Remember it was once too secret) Also suggest you take the daily guided tour at 2pm with either Scott or Leon. Or if you'd like the cliff note version, come by the open house 10-2 each day. Don't miss it!
