I am planning a ski trip for my daughter and I this winter. She just moved to Seattle and I want to see where she is living and then take a few days to ski. I will be flying out from NC. We would like to stay at or near the resort. We have skied in the Rockies and Vermont but never in Washington state. Any suggestions are appreciated thanks!

If you would like to ski at Stevens pass & stay somewhere close but with restaurants etc- I would stay at Leavenworth. Otherwise I would plan to go ski at Whistler BC. The WA ski areas do …

If you would like to ski at Stevens pass & stay somewhere close but with restaurants etc- I would stay at Leavenworth. Otherwise I would plan to go ski at Whistler BC. The WA ski areas do not have resorts right at the ski areas.

Bring tire chains and know how to install them. It's mostly a single lane road the whole way and you'll find yourself as an internet meme if you block that traffic. If you can't …

Bring tire chains and know how to install them. It's mostly a single lane road the whole way and you'll find yourself as an internet meme if you block that traffic. If you can't continue, figure that out before you're stuck in the middle of the road and move over. State police patrol that area for chains and AWD often. They will ticket you for no chains, if you get stuck they will tow you and ticket you.
