How exact are they with the timed entry tickets? If I have a ticket for 9:30 and I show up at 9:20, would they let me in? Or would I have to wait for it to be 9:30 exactly?

They will let you in. They aren't so strict. We went on a day with rain scheduled and got in an hour and a half earlier than our ticket said. Have fun!!!

If it's wet outside does it get muddy to walk around, or are all the paths paved?

All paved (unless you go off course to take pics by some of their decor). There was one spot you can get thru a lil faster on a trail that's not paved but I think that's really it.

I am guessing you are referring to the ticket purchase option. It allows you to go on or in several of the attractions that are available. It appears to not be explained on the website but if you go to the drop down menu for Visit and click on Attractions there are many things you can do at the Zoo for an additional cost. The Total Experience includes several of those thing but I can't say from memory which ones. I am 99% sure it includes the Railroad and the 4-D theater. I think it includes 2 more attractions. It is a very good deal but would definitely make for a longer visit at the Zoo. With a membership the price of the Total Experience is much lower, I think 12 dollars, which I think would make membership pay for itself on one visit.
