The Nintendo Switch 2 is finally showing up on people’s doorsteps, while others braved the lengthy lines at midnight launch events that spanned the globe. Because I have a cool job, I actually got the console a day early.

Naturally, the first thing most people will do after unboxing their Nintendo Switch 2 is snap the Joy-Con 2 controllers onto the sides of the main console unit. And snap is the appropriate word.
