WWDC opening presentation has come to a close after pulling back the curtain on iOS 26 and Liquid Glass, as well as some of the other major changes coming to iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and more later this year.

I actually like most of them. Fine, the new 'Liquid Glass' design language is arguably in a similar vein to Windows Vista, but it's nice to see iOS get a bit of a refresh, as it's felt a little stale for a while now.

However, just as the efforts of the last few years have been unsuccessful at turning Apple’s platforms into something “gamers” care about, so too will this year’s effort fail to move the needle. It boils down to the same thing: Apple just isn’t tackling the core problems that keep gaming enthusiasts off its platforms.
