While speaking at Universal Fan Fest Nights on Friday (via People), “Back to the Future” screenwriter Bob Gale shut down the possibility of any more follow-ups to the classic 1985 film after the “Cobra Kai” finale teased a television adaptation.

You’ll have to time travel in the DeLorean to relive “Back to the Future.” According to franchise screenwriter Bob Gale, there won’t be any more films following up the 1985 classic, the 1989 sequel “Back to the Future Part II” and 1990’s “Back to the Future Part III.

I don’t know anyone who is hoping for a Back to the Future remake, reboot, or sequels, but if you are, you can officially stop holding your breath. Screenwriter Bob Gale made it very clear during a recent panel at Universal Fan Fest Nights that it's not happening.
