Jason Evans, a Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman, told the Dallas Morning News that three of the students were between the ages of 15 and 18 and that all were injured by gunfire. A 17-year-old suspect was booked into Dallas County jail at 9:32 p.m. after turning himself in, the paper reported. His bail was set at $600,000.

School district officials say a suspect in a shooting at a Dallas high school that wounded four students and drew a heavy police response to the campus has been taken into custody.

Police were investigating a reported shooting Tuesday afternoon at Wilmer-Hutchins High School in Dallas, a department spokeswoman confirmed to The Dallas Morning News. Officers were dispatched about 1 p.m. to the school in the 5500 block of Langdon Road. A police call log showed 19 units at the scene.
