LOS ANGELES >> Federal forces will continue their immigration crackdown in an effort to “liberate” Los Angeles, the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, pledged today, pushing back at criticism that sending the U.

An escalating clash pits a Republican president looking to fulfill his mass deportation goals against a Democratic governor with White House aspirations hoping to mobilize opposition.

The new line of attack from Newsom, who is widely considered a top contender for president in 2028, comes after he told Fox LA earlier this week that Trump “is not the same person that I dealt with just four years ago, and he’s incapable now of even a train of thought. He’s making things up.”
