The first group of immigrants has arrived at a new detention center deep in the Florida Everglades that officials have dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz.”

Florida's Division of Emergency Management has announced the arrival of the first group of illegal immigrants to Alligator Alcatraz. This facility, built quickly under Gov. Ron DeSantis' leadership, supports the mission to enforce immigration laws.
