The return of the notorious drug trafficker Fabio Ochoa to Colombia, following his deportation from the United States, has reopened old wounds among the victims of the Medellin cartel, with some expressing their dismay at the decision of Colombian authorities to let the former mafia boss walk free.

Immigration officials in Colombia took his fingerprints and confirmed through a database that Ochoa is not wanted by Colombian authorities.

Fabio Ochoa Vasquez, a Medellin Cartel co-founder and former lieutenant to notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar, was deported to Colombia on Monday after serving a long US prison sentence.
