Friday has been sunny and cold; after starting our day in the 20s, most towns rebounded back into the upper 40s to near 50 degrees. Winds 5 to 10 mph out of the north will start to calm down a bit this evening into the overnight hours.

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Albeit chilly, we had plenty of sunshine for the day on Friday. Highs today hovered around in the upper 20s and low 30s. As we head into the evening hours, we will see overnight lows drop again with overnight lows in the mid teens. Feels like temperatures will be in the single digits.

By Sunday afternoon, highs will reach the mid 40s! This will bring Omaha back to above average highs for this time of year. The warm up continues into Monday, with highs in the 50s to start off the work week. The 50s continue for the entirety of next week, with most of the snow melting away pretty quickly.

The good news is our temperatures briefly rose above freezing to the south and the sunshine helped with the comfort levels today. However, temperatures will plummet this evening with lows in the teens tomorrow morning.
