The nominees for The Game Awards 2024 have been revealed, and they will offer plenty for fans to fight over. The 10th anniversary of host Geoff Keighley’s Oscars-like celebration of interactive arts will choose from the following for the best game of the year: Astro Bot,

DLC has always been allowed at The Game Awards, but the ceremony will face tougher controversies as gaming audiences turn nasty.

Host Geoff Keighley also revealed that the 3D platformer and the role-playing game had received seven nominations each, including Game of the Year. Card game Balatro, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Metaphor: Refantazio and Black Myth: Wukong are the other games up for the top prize.
