Kyle Larson fended off several challenges for the lead by Denny Hamlin as they ran in the top two positions for 251 of 500 laps at Bristol Motor Speedway.

With an impressive record at the track and his promising run in the season so far, Denny Hamlin had all eyes on him ahead of the Bristol race as he went for his triple-peat. Hamlin was certainly a fan favorite and was just inches away from his third consecutive win when Kyle Larson clinched the victory with a difference of 2.

In his weekly Actions Detrimental podcast, Denny Hamlin fired back at the No. 5 car driver’s post-race comments. He admitted he was rooting for Larson to begin with but had a change of heart after hearing his competitor throw shade.
