Only the pilot was on board the helicopter at the time of the crash. Suffield Township Fire Chief Bob Rasnick confirmed the pilot, Jones, 52, of North Royalton, died and was recovered from the water.

The FAA said the pilot was the only person on board the helicopter at the time of the crash, which happened shortly after 7 a.m. in Suffield Township.
