The Detroit Lions and All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph have agreed on a contract extension, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press on Wednesday night. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the agreement had not been announced.

The Detroit Lions just dropped a bombshell, inking safety Kerby Joseph to a jaw-dropping four-year, $86 million extension, making him the NFL’s highest-paid safety at $21.5 million a year, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph has more interceptions (17) than any other player in the NFL since he entered the league in 2022.
