Kevin Roberts, chairman of the conservative Heritage Foundation and the "mastermand" of the Project 2025 plan for the next Republican administration, boasted to colleagues that he beat a dog to death with a shovel.

Former colleagues told The Guardian that Kevin Roberts, who is now the president of the conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation, described killing a neighbor's pit bull around 2004. Roberts has denied killing the dog.

Roberts allegedly told university colleagues that he had killed the animal because it was "disturbing his family."
