The return of the notorious drug trafficker Fabio Ochoa to Colombia, following his deportation from the United States, has reopened old wounds among the victims of the Medellin cartel, with some expressing their dismay at the decision of Colombian authorities to let the former mafia boss walk free.

The former drug trafficker was captured in October 1999 and extradited to the United States in 2001. Fabio Ochoa Vásquez, one of the founders of the Medellin Cartel and associate of Pablo Escobar, has arrived in Colombia deported after serving 26 years of drug trafficking sentence in the United States as reported by Migration Colombia.
