Haywood is a four-star offensive tackle prospect and the No. 78 player in Rivals’ class of 2025 rankings. He was the top uncommitted recruit heading into the February signing period as the 77 players ahead of him had signed with their schools in the December early-signing period.

The final National Signing Day window opened once again Wednesday morning and runs through April 1, with Michigan football signing 4-star Ty Haywood.

According to Rivals, Houston is considered the No. 8 overall prospect, No. 2 quarterback and No. 2 player from the state of Lousiana in the 2027 recruiting class. He holds offers from nearly 30 FBS programs, with major programs Georgia, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Texas and Tennessee all in the mix, among others.
