Bring the flames of Oblivion a little closer to home. With all the excitement surrounding the surprise release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, it's easy to miss out on some of the details--like the new Oblivion-themed dynamic Xbox background that was released alongside the game.

After many reports, leaks, and rumors, Bethesda officially unveiled The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. And the $50 remaster is launching today on Xbox Series X/S, Game Pass, PS5, and PC.

Speaking to VideoGamer, the title's original senior game designer Bruce Nesmith, who left Bethesda during development of Starfield, has admitted he's not sure the tagline of "remaster" does it justice. He expected it to be a texture update, but feels it's more of a "complete overhaul".
