Republican David Taylor has won Ohio’s 2nd Congressional District race, replacing Congressman Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) , the Associated Press projects.

Voters in Ohio’s 2nd Congressional district will send a political newcomer to Washington, D.C. — no matter who wins the election. Republican candidate David Taylor and Democratic candidate Samantha Meadows are seeking the seat to replace U.S. Rep. Brad Wenstrup, who decided not to run for re-election.

Greg Landsman or Republican challenger Orlando Sonza will represent the Cincinnati region in Congress. Landsman, a Democrat from Mount Washington, flipped the seat for the Democrats two years ago when he defeated longtime Republican Rep.
