OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — 73-year-old Peter Manchev has been living in southeast Oklahoma City since the 1980s. The Bulgarian man tells Fox 25 he was reading a book early Sunday morning when a tornado touched down in his neighborhood near SE 89th and Sooner Road.

At least 11 people were injured Sunday morning and about 100 homes were damaged or destroyed when multiple tornadoes swarmed the Oklahoma City area. Officials issued tornado warnings Sunday, including one for the University of Oklahoma's Norman campus.

A dangerous line of storms swept through Oklahoma early on Sunday, bringing damaging winds and at least six tornadoes that tore through communities in and near the state capital, the authorities said.
