The FDA has issued recalls for Zicam and Orajel products due to concerns about potential fungal contamination of the cotton swabs used in these products. The FDA says the fungi can cause serious and even life-threatening blood infections in people with weakened immune systems.

Church & Dwight Co, Inc, announced on Friday it is recalling its Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs, Zicam Nasal AllClear Swabs and Orajel Baby Teething Swabs on Friday ‘due to potential microbial contamination identified as fungi in cotton swab components’.
