After a damp and gray Monday, storms return on Tuesday. They could deliver pockets of heavy rain and potentially damaging wind gusts. Once they’re over, though, we’re in for another run of sunny and summery days to close out the week.
The National Weather Service recorded measurable rainfall in Maine on 11 consecutive Saturdays, with a 12th potentially on the way. The first rainy Saturday in the ongoing series was March 29, when the National Weather Service’s Gray office reported 0.41 inches of rainfall in Portland, 0.18 inches in Augusta and 0.37 inches in Gray.
