For the second consecutive day, there was no play in the second Test between India and Bangladesh in Kanpur. Unlike Saturday, there was not a single drop of rain on Sunday but a wet outfield resulted in play being called off at 2:00pm (local time). Ironically, as soon as the umpires made that decision, the sun emerged from behind the clouds.

Bangladesh was 107-3 against India when rain stopped play on day one Friday of the second test. Bangladesh, 74-2 at lunch, resumed 15 minutes late in the second session due to a light shower. Ravichandran Ashwin broke the third-wicket partnership in the truncated second session.

India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur has been a frustrating affair of rain delays. Since its start on September 27, only 35 overs of play have been possible, all on Day 1.
