However, the hospital has now issued a reassuring statement, confirming that Rajinikanth successfully underwent a heart procedure and is recovering well. Doctors expect him to be discharged within two days, alleviating the fears of his supporters. The update has brought relief to fans, who were initially alarmed by reports of his health scare.

The hospital authorities shared an official statement on the health status of Superstar Rajinikanth and explained the planned procedure.

"Mr Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, on 30th September 2024. He had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart (Aorta), which was treated by a non-surgical, transcatheter method," the bulletin read.
