Romeo Lavia is finally finding his feet at Chelsea as a regular in the first-team since arriving from Southampton, however it's been far from smooth sailing.

Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia missed both of Belgium’s recent international games with a hamstring injury. Lavia was called up to the Belgium squad for the games against Italy and Israel but did not take part in either.

Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia will miss Belgium's Nations League match against Israel on Sunday. The 20-year-old missed Belgium's 1-0 defeat to Italy on Thursday and will play no part against Israel on Sunday, which will see him return to Chelsea early next week having not featured for his country in November.

While recalled to the Belgium squad for the past week, Lavia has returned to Chelsea carrying another injury. The midfielder has suffered a hamstring injury, which ruled him out of last night's Nations League defeat to Israel. Before the tie, Belgium coach Domenico Tedesco explained Lavia's absence.

However, Lavia was forced off at the 68-minute mark versus the Gunners on Sunday after suffering a knock, putting his game time with Belgium at risk. Being selected by the Red Devils is a major step forward for Lavia who remains with the one international cap that he earned in March 2023.
