Insomniac Games founder and CEO Ted Price is stepping down from his role atop the Sony Interactive Entertainment-owned studio after more than 20 years running the company

Insomniac Games founder and CEO Ted Price announced he is retiring from the games industry at the end of March. As a result, Price also revealed the studio’s new Co-studio Heads, who will lead their future projects.

After three decades at the helm, Insomniac Games founder and president Ted Price has announced he’s retiring. Price will officially step away at the end of March, and he’s being replaced by three new studio heads who will take over Insomniac moving forward.

Insomniac was acquired in 2019 by Sony, which has successfully adapted a number of PlayStation properties for film and TV in recent years, including Uncharted and The Last of Us. Earlier this month, Sony announced films based on Helldivers and Horizon: Zero Dawn are in the works.

Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider and Jen Huang will be stepping up as Insomniac Games' new co-studio heads when Price steps away from leading the studio after 30 years.
