Hundreds gathered in downtown San Antonio on Wednesday night to protest the continued U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportations of undocumented immigrants.
The San Antonio protests on Wednesday, June 11, remained "peaceful" despite a significant police presence and more than 300 demonstrators at the Alamo and City Hall. The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) told MySA that no arrests were made during the protests.

San Antonio city leaders confirmed the presence of the Texas National Guard in the city. They said those troops were not requested nor did they receive any kind of warning in advance.
The mayor and the police chief said the governor did not notify them of the military deployment. They also have no details about the soldiers’ mission. They said the city is prepared to oversee peaceful demonstrations at the Alamo tonight and at Travis Park on Saturday.
