NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Columbia man is charged with trying to use a drone to take down a power facility in Nashville.

A 24-year-old man with ties to white supremacist movements was arrested after allegedly plotting to use an explosive drone to attack a Nashville power plant.

According to the Justice Department, Skyler Philippi, 24, of Columbia, Tennessee, planned to fly a drone mounted with explosives into a substation.

The DOJ reports that he planned to use a drone with explosives attached to it and fly the drone into the substation.
