The Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show began in Pensacola this afternoon and crowds from all over the Gulf Coast came to check out the spectacle which had a unique twist. News 5 spoke with some of the spectators who traveled to Pensacola to get a glimpse at the show.

Gates open at 8 a.m. on Saturday for the Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show. Guests can gain access to NAS Pensacola through both the Main Gate on Navy Boulevard and the West Gate on Blue Angel Parkway. The show doesn’t have a set schedule, but guests can expect the flying to get started around 9:30 a.m.

Two-year Blue Angel veteran Lt. Cmdr. Amanda Lee says Blue Angels get right back to work the day after the Homecoming Airshow to train for 2025.

On Wednesday morning, fans will get a glimpse of the action before the homecoming air show as the teams perform a joint flyover.
