The United States gave up four goals in the first half and looked unprepared for next year’s home World Cup, getting routed by Switzerland 4-0 in a friendly.

Switzerland are unbeaten against the US national team in the four matches played in the United States (W1 D3). The last of those four games was the only competitive match between the two teams, a 1-1 draw in Detroit at the World Cup in June 1994.

The United States has been blown apart 4-0 by Switzerland, leaving the team at crisis point ahead of a home World Cup next year.

The USMNT will be without Tyler Adams, who has a “small issue in his foot,” according to head coach Mauricio Pochettino. Adams is expected to rest a couple of days as they try to manage the knock in the hopes he will be ready for the Gold Cup.
