Universal Studios Hollywood released a video previewing the "Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift" roller coaster on Thursday. The coaster opens in 2026.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will be the first high-speed outdoor coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood. The park’s two existing coasters include the 2004 Revenge of the Mummy indoor coaster and the 2016 Flight of the Hippogriff outdoor kiddie coaster.

Universal Pictures is in early development on a project inspired by fitness icon Jake Steinfeld’s life that will be produced by Frank Marshall.

"Together, we’ll explore new ways to extend that cultural force into every dimension of entertainment and consumer life," Whitesell said in a statement.

Critics are debating whether the new "How to Train Your Dragon" is too similar to the animated movies. The director Dean DeBlois said Universal asked him to make small changes.

Dichen Lachman has been cast in Rob Savage's untitled supernatural horror film for Universal and Atomic Monster.
