Virgin Media O2 has apologised after thousands in the UK reported they were unable to access the internet. Downndetector, which tracks websites, showed more than 10,000 people reported their broadband was not working on Monday morning.

While the Virgin Media internet issues seem to have eased for most, they certainly haven't gone away according to Downdetector – with the complaints sitting at a steady 500 or so for the last two hours, which is well above the typical baseline.

As of writing, reports of issues on Downdetector have dropped to under 1,000 (currently 830), so Virgin Media services are finally returning to normal. While the estimate was around 1 p.m., there's still no official time for the fix. However, it appears the outage is finally (and thankfully) easing up!
