The photojournalist in question, Evan Vucci, was barred from the White House press pool, a small group of journalists with privileged access to the president, alongside his Associated Press colleagues. As a result, from February to April 2025, Vucci lost access to the Oval Office, Air Force One and other important locations the president frequents.
