It’s been rather a long time in the making – but finally, a new pump track for Whitby’s West Cliff is about to be unveiled.

Inspired by her bike-loving nine-year-old son, Jamie, Rachel started campaigning two years ago for the pump track, designed for people to use bikes, roller skates or skateboards without pedalling.

Community consultation on the Gungurru Park pump track is open now through the city’s Your Say page and will remain open until March 30. The final design will be decided next month, with ...
