(Mainichi) TOKYO -- The Yamagata Shinkansen Line's Tsubasa bullet train, traveling from Yamagata Station to Tokyo Station, collided with a fallen tree in Yamagata Prefecture on the morning of Jan. 11.
Fukui station is one of the largest of the new bullet train stops. The direct link from Tokyo to Fukui shortens the journey to less than 3 hours with the fastest service — a saving of 30 minutes.
