Chelsea offloaded a number of players during the winter transfer window. Joao Felix was loaned to AC Milan while Axel Disasi also joined Aston Villa on a temporary deal – with Renato Veiga being loaned to Juventus too.

Chelsea’s continued pursuit of a winger and striker speaks volumes. Nicolas Jackson is on his longest scoring drought at the club (eight games) and Mudryk’s suspension for failing a doping test means inexperienced 19-year-old Tyrique George is being asked to step up.

Chelsea did little to address the issues that have been exposed in their recent Premier League struggles during the January transfer window.
