The Academy Award winning film Slumdog Millionaire is getting a sequel 17 years after the release of the Danny Boyle directorial. The film starred Dev Patel, Frieda Pinto, Anil Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.

But it was reported late last year that newly formed production company Bridge7 has acquired the movie sequel and TV rights to Slumdog Millionaire, allowing them to produce follow-up content.
