The new NVIDIA RTX 5000 series of cards have just been unveiled, but how do the card's hardware and cost stack up with one another?

NVIDIA revealed new info surrounding its upcoming RTX 5000 GPUs, including non-DLSS performance. NVIDIA had one of the biggest announcements out of CES 2025, revealing its new 50-series RTX graphics cards. The new GPUs came with some bold claims, including RTX 5070 performance that could match the RTX 4090's power for a fraction of the price.

For many, specs will be the main point of comparison between the RTX 5090 and RTX 4090. That makes sense given that the Blackwell GPU will use a shiny new architecture paired with 32GB of faster GDDR7 VRAM and enhanced AI abilities, but it's worth noting that on-paper figures don't always translate performance-wise.

The new GeForce RTX 5090 is the top of the line and the star of the show (so much so that it actually leaked just hours before it was officially unveiled), but Nvidia is actually launching four new 50-series GPUs at CES 2025, with the desktop models starting to ship this month and laptop versions arriving in March.

With Nvidia’s announcement of RTX 50-series GPUs for desktops and laptops, a new generation of computers is on the way and ASUS has kickstarted the lineup with its 2025 ROG NUC. The new NUC or Next Unit of Computing is powered by up to the RTX 5080 laptop GPU and the second generation of Intel’s Core Ultra processors.

After their major unveiling of the 50 Series GPU lineup, NVIDIA also announced a slew of new gaming laptops to complent them. We caught up with one of their reps showing the laptops off in person on the show floor at CES 2025 where we got to see them running and get a full breakdown on their capabilities.
