Larry Hester has never stopped believing in the possibilities of the historic Hayti community. It's why he and his wife invested in the community and built the Phoenix Crossing Shopping Center.

The funding -- part of the city's Hayti Promise Fayetteville Street Corridor Project-- is the first money earmarked from $10 million in ARPA funds that was approved for that project back in May.
