A Kansas man was arrested on Wednesday, April 9 in connection with the 2023 death of an inmate at the Benton County Jail.

According to the affidavit, the autopsy determined that David Thompson’s death was a homicide caused by head trauma.

Jhonathan Hernandez-Gomez, 29, of Southeast Moberly Lane in Bentonville, was arrested Monday in connection with aggravated assault on a family or household member and third-degree domestic battering.
