It’s official, the James Bond franchise has found its producers in Amy Pascal and David Heyman. The duo have been tapped by Amazon MGM to steer the new Bond film, the first to be produced by someone outside the Broccoli family.

Though it took Amazon MGM quite a while to wrest the James Bond franchise away from longtime producers Barbara Broccoli Michael G. Wilson, the studio has already found the duo’s replacements.

The longest gap between James Bond movies was the wait between 1989's Licence to Kill and 1995' GoldenEye. But now, following the 2021 release of No Time to Die, that wait could be tied. If one rumor is to be believed, the next new 007 movie could be released in 2027, exactly six years after Daniel Craig took his final bow.
