Canelo Alvarez has signed a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season, scuttling reports late Thursday that he was close to a deal for a boxing match with Jake Paul in May. The Riyadh Season pact was announced by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia. Financial terms were not released.

But the fight that continues to elude him is a match-up against undisputed super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, who has made it clear on several occasions that he has no interest in meeting Paul in the ring.
