The Volusia County Council decided to purchase 356 acres of land on State Road 44 that could be the home to a new motocross track. But those plans are sparking concern for some residents in the area.

The Volusia County Council voted 7-0 to buy 356 acres at 4845 S.R. 44 for a wetland conservation area and, possibly, a motocross facility.
