This is the nature of the beast when it comes to people writing about "Sesame Street." While there are now some culture writers from the "All Elmo, all the time" era of the show, most writers range from "Elmo and Guy Smiley have equally substantive roles in this world" to "Snuffleupagus is Big Bird's imaginary friend.

The artist was among several musical artists, announced in January, slated to appear on the 55th season of Sesame Street. Others include Reneé Rapp, Samara Joy, Noah Kahan, and Chris Stapleton. Actor Michael B. Jordan, tennis phenomenon Billie Jean King, and Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness were also among those set to appear on the show.

Other performers this season include Noah Kahan, Michael B. Jordan, Samara Joy, Chris Stapleton, Renee Rapp, Jonathan Van Ness and Billie Jean King joining for songs and other segments. The season is available on local PBS stations across the country and on the free PBS Kids Video app Fall 2025.
