Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault addressed how Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ascended to an MVP candidate. While Gilgeous-Alexander is having a Michael Jordan-like campaign, Daigneault said speed and recognizing what’s always best for the team stand out most.

The MVP front-runner thinks defeats have given him the proper perspective to chase a title: "Nothing in life is promised."

They currently sit at 63-12 and are the only team in the conference to clinch an NBA playoff spot thus far. Much of that success can be attributed to guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who has four 50+ games this season.
