Skoda has released a teaser for an upcoming seven-seater electric SUV, which will be a production-spec version of the Vision 7S Concept. The model was introduced with a modern design language, which has been since used on the new Epiq.

Skoda Auto has dropped the first teaser for its flagship electric SUV based on the 2022 Vision 7S concept. This will be the brand’s all-new seven-seater electric SUV, likely called ‘Space,’ and it will rival the Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9 SUV.

The Vision 7S concept car was just over 5000-mm long and was said to have an 89-kilowatt-hour battery for a range of 600 km (370 miles). It was based on Skoda parent Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform that underpins BEVs such as the VW ID4 and Audi Q4 E-Tron.

Skoda is expanding its electric lineup with a spacious seven-seat SUV, promising over 600 km of range. The model, inspired by the Vision 7S concept, will be the brand’s largest EV to date.

Skoda is getting ready to fill a gap in its lineup, teasing a new three-row electric SUV. While its Enyaq electric SUV is similar in size to the petrol-powered Kodiaq, it lacks the latter’s third row of seating.
